Lectures

Concert Overview

Learn more about our upcoming concert series with a series of lectures by local experts. We’ll explore musical themes from leading composers and their development.

We will announce the 2019 Winter Lecture soon.

Our 2018 Summer Lecture:

Rebellion & Tradition

Join us for a free public lecture — Beethoven and Brahms: Rebellion and Tradition. Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms are two giants of chamber music composition. One was a constant rule-breaker, and the other clung to the old forms even in the face of the “Music of the Future.” Join composer and conductor Adam Stern for an hour-long lecture to learn more about these two geniuses and to previews works by each that are featured during the upcoming Summer Festival.
